Reunion Notes/Thanks

The 20 year reunion was a success.  With over 130 attendees, the crowd rocked the event until 1:30AM - and we would have continued until much later (the hotel asked us to shut it down since we were already 30 minutes beyond our contract).  Late in the evening we even had some folks crash our party from South Cobb and McEachern (both had reunions at the hotel that night) - and all agreed our party was the best!

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event a night to remember.  Special thanks go out to the following individuals:

20 Year Reunion Committee:

  • Lesley (Moore) Poole
  • Paula (Bickford) Jenkins
  • Tonya (Carter) Hamsley
  • Danielle (Cheek) Milholland
  • Suzanne (Ervin) Manahan
  • Tracey (Garrett) Moore
  • Dana (Stephens) Hammett

In addition to the committee, other SHS alumni helped make the event special and deserve a huge thank you for their efforts:

Doug Dean - he and wife Rachel (with some help from Eric Norris) provided the evening's entertainment (fantastic music from the '80's and today, along with lights, video, and other effects).   If you know of anyone looking for a DJ, please keep Doug in mind. His rates are very competitive and he can provide music videos, karaoke, trivia, salsa dance instruction, and game shows.  Check out his website at www.djentertainmentatl.com or email him at djdougatl@yahoo.com.  Doug's number is: (678) 266-0681.  As the current President of the Georgia Mobile Disc Jockey Association, Doug works corporate events, proms, weddings, school dances (all ages), parties, reunions - just about anything that involves having fun.

Lynn McStatts - a class of '88 alum, she was the official photographer for the event.  Lynn owns a professional photography business in Atlanta - Personal Paparazzi ATL.  Please visit her website at www.personalpaparazziatl.com or contact her at lmcstatts@aol.com.  She works with everyone from corporations and groups to individuals and families.

Heather (Greenfield) Snell - she created the class picture slide show from the photos you submitted.  Visit Heather's website atwww.heathersnellphotography.com for your photography or custom slideshow needs.  You can also reach her at heathersnell21@yahoo.com or hsnell1@mac.com.

Paula (Bickford) Jenkins - she designed the nametags and in memoriam portraits for the event. She runs her freelance graphic design business, PB&J Design, out of her home. She does a variety of print projects including: logos, stationery design, wedding invitations, brochures, annual reports and corporate identity. She previously worked for a graphic design firm in Atlanta and traveled to parts of the world doing Annual Reports for Fortune 500 companies. If you have any design needs feel free to contact her via email at paulabjenkins@earthlink.net.
